Top Ten Tuesday (6)

Posted by: nazish0151 on: January 24, 2012

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week is a freebie theme, so we get to choose our own, so I decided…
This week’s Top Ten is:
Top Ten Mangas that I love

I have so many favourites, it’ll be hard to decide which 10 to list. I’ll choose some of my most favourites and some random ones that are just my favourites, that way it’ll be easier for me.
These are in no particular order, except the first one.

If the mangas that I list below also have anime, then I’ve watched the anime as well and in most cases, like it.

1. Fullmetal Alchemist by Hiromu Arakawa: I mentioned this series a lot last year and did many reviews on some of the books. I love this series so much!

2. Inuyasha by Rumiko Takahashi: I have so many favourite stories with demons in them.

3. Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeuchi: I haven’t read the manga yet, but I will soon, when I have the time. I remember watching the anime when I was little, this was one of the first animes I’ve ever seen, along with Digimon, Pokemon, Beyblade, and Yu gi oh (I don’t know if I spelled that right). I miss those days, when it was simpler and people didn’t care about certain trivial things like they do now, these days 12 year olds have iphones, I got my first phone when I was 14 and my first smartphone when I was 17 (sorry, got a little off topic there).

4. Ranma 1/2 by Rumiko Takahashi: Another great series from this mangaka, this was created and published before Inuyasha.

5. Soul Eater by Atsushi Ohkubo: I found this unique, the fact that some people can transform into weapons, I watched the anime and loved it, and I just recently started reading the manga and I also love it.

6. Zatch Bell by Makoto Raiku: I remember watching this show a few years ago, it was awesome, so I decided to start reading the manga 2 years ago, since the anime isn’t complete. I liked it, I was sad at the end when it was time for Zatch and the other momotos to leave and go back to their planet.

7. Case Closed by Aoyama Gosho: Everyone knows that I love mysteries. I always try to solve the mystery before the protagonist does. I have a lot of catching up to do on the manga and the anime, I hope the find those men soon, because I’m starting lose patience with the random mysteries that keep popping up for no reason. I really want to buy some of the mangas and the anime, but they’re so hard to find in stores.

8. The Kamikaze of Kaitou Jeanne by Arina Tanemura: I love the art work of series by her, they are so good, although that doesn’t mean that all of her series are good (the plot/story), some are though. I’ve watched the anime for this series (I wish it was english dubbed too), but I haven’t read the manga yet, but since I lovd the anime, I will probably like the manga too.

9. Hunter X Hunter by Yoshihiro Togashi: I watched the 90s anime (not the new one) and I just started reading the manga. I heard that the creator of this manga also wrote and drew Yu Yu Hakusho, I’ve been thinking of starting to read and watch that series soon, I hope I like it as much as I liked Hunter X Hunter.

10. Kodocha (a.k.a Kodomo no Omocha) by Obana Miho: I love this anime so much and what’s really shocking is that my sisters love it too, and they hate anime. I love how Sana and her mom can be so crazy, yet to mature at the same time. I’m really hoping to start reading the manga soon and buying it (it’s from the 90s, so the volumes will probably be a bit hard to find for a reasonable price). What’s even more shocking is that this is a romance and there is nothing paranormal or mysterious in here, yet I still love it, it’s mostly because of the comedy and the unique characters and their personalities.

There are many many more mangas that I love, like:
-Vampire Knight,
-Bleach,
-Sakura Hime,
-Codename Sailor V,
-Urusei Yatsura,
-Kamichama Karin,
-Meru Puri,

and there are many that I want to start reading soon, because I heard from people who share similar reading favourites as me, that they were so good, like Black Butler.
